Mason & Mason, P.C. has represented over sixty lenders in mortgage closings. Our action-oriented loan scheduling team works with your staff to ensure that loans are quickly and conveniently scheduled in accordance with lender guidelines. Clients and their borrowers are offered the ability to close at a location outside the office, as may be required to accommodate the clients’ needs. Further, loans are regularly closed Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
In representing lenders, our firm prepares the assignment of mortgage (CEMA), acts as the lender's escrow agent for the original mortgage document, and attends the mortgage closing and collects and transmits the pay-off funds to the existing lenders. When a borrower is refinancing or selling a co-op unit, our firm prepares the UCC termination, arranges for and acts as escrow agent for the stock and lease, attends the closing, collects and transmits pay-off funds to the lender. The firm also prepares and arranges to record satisfactions of consolidated mortgages. Mason & Mason, P.C. regularly handles all aspects of the real estate owned sales transaction (R.E.O.) for lenders, mortgage servicers and individuals. The firm is also the exclusive attorney in NY to handle the Assignments of Mortgage for Aurora Loan Services.
In pursuing the foreclosure action, we assist clients in identifying and implementing litigation techniques and settlement options such as negotiating forbearance agreements, short sales and deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure.
Our firm understands the closing is the borrower’s last impression of the mortgage salesperson, mortgage broker and lender. Therefore, exceptional effort is made to ensure each and every borrower’s closing experience is positive.
